Worship Arts

Worship Arts opportunities include hand bells, chancel choir, quartet, piano, organ, and guitar.

Participation in chancel choir is open to anyone high school age and over. Reading music is optional, because we are all on that “road to music literacy.” We pray, we sing, we learn, and we laugh together. Come be a part of the fellowship and help us lead our congregation in celebrative worship. Rehearsals are Wednesday evenings at 7:00pm.

Vocal Ensembles

MCUMC has just begun to develop a few small groups that will lead worship from time to time. Men’s quartet has already begun and a women’s ensemble is planned. In addition, a praise team will be put together to lead certain parts of worship. Perhaps you’d be interested. Give this some thought, as well.

Handbell Ensembles

Small hand bell ensembles are a part of the worship arts offering. Quartets, trios, duets, etc. have been rehearsing and preparing to ring at worship services. If you are an experienced ringer, this would certainly be an option for you. Rehearsals for these groups are being determined as fall approaches.

Instrumental Ensembles

In addition to vocal and hand bell music, MCUMC certainly wants to encourage all instrumentalists to consider playing in small group or even doing some solo work. Whatever your experience level, whatever instrument you play, we can find a way to help you be involved.

Children’s Music Ministry

The importance of a vibrant Children’s Music Ministry cannot be overstated. Vacation Bible School will be held July 11-13. Choir Chimes and Handbell Choir rehearsals for these groups are being determined as fall approaches. Participation is always open.
