Pat Zarse, Daytime Ministries Director

PatZarse_Daytime Ministries DirectorIn 1988 the Administrative Board of Mount Comfort United Methodist Church elected to investigate and study the possibility of starting a pre-school. The pre-school opened in September 1989 with twenty-seven three and four year olds and a staff of four. Pat Zarse directed pre-school then, and she continues to do so today.

The ministry continued to grow each year and has developed into the MCUMC Daytime Ministries. In 2002 the pre-school relocated to the new Family Life Center. Expanded programs now include classes for two-year olds, three-year olds, four-year olds, and year round childcare with a staff of twenty.

Pat Zarse’s leadership has greatly contributed to the growth of Daytime Ministries. She earned a bachelor’s degree from Purdue University’s School of Consumer and Family Sciences and has continued her education in childcare and administration through Purdue University and the Indiana Association for the Education of Young Children.
